Luz Caballero de Gonzalez (1900-1990) was a painter from Siao, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was self taught and started painting at the age of 60. Her paintings took root from Mexican retablo traditions and often featured biblical themes and native Mexican populations. Luz's works were exhibited in Madrid, Mexico City, Chicago and New York. Luz continued painting until she passed away at the age of 90.
