Luis Lusnich (1911-1995) was an Argentinian painter. Originally from Gorizia, Italy, Lusnich studied painting and decoration. Then in 1930, he moved to Argentina and studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts. Interrupting his studies, he enrolls at the Argentine Institute of Graphics Arts alongside Leopoldo Presas, Eolo Pons, Alberto Altalef, Aaron Lipietz, Ideal Sanchez and Bruno Venier, under the direction of Linio Enea Spilimbergo. As his assistant, Lusnich participated in the decoration of the dome of the Galerias Pacifico in Buenas Aires in 1946. Lusnich has received many awards like the Premier Prize at the Tucuman Salon in 1952, 1954 and 1961, the First Prize at the Mar del Plata Salon in 1957 and 1961, the Premier Prize at the Northwest Argentine Salon in 1957 and 1959, the Special Prize at the Santa Fe Salon in 1958 and the "Laura B. de Diaz" Prize at the National Salon in 1963.
