Beatriz Ortega Ruiz (b.1951) is a master artisan from Pátzcuaro, Michoacán who works alongside her husband, Mario Agustín Gaspar Rodríguez, another master artisan. Beatriz is mostly known for her "laca" pieces, which is a modern lacquering technique mostly done at workshops.
