Anne Klein (1923-1974) was an American fashion designer and co-founded Anne Klein & Company alongside Gunther Oppenheim as her investor in 1968. Her fashion design career started in 1937 when she received a scholarship to attend the Traphagen School of Fashion. She married Ben Klein, clothing manufacturer, in 1948 and started her Junior Sophisticates clothing line. After her divorce in 1960, she remarried to Matthew "Chip" Rubinstein, in 1963. It was him who she co-owned Anne Klein & Company with. Anne died in 1974 due to breast cancer.
