Amado Galvan (1893-1954) was a master Mexican folk art potter from Tonala, Jalisco and was known for his skill in barro bruñido, which is burnished clay. He had connections with important artists of Mexico after the revolution, like Diego Rivera, who painted a mural in Galvan's workshop.
