The urn is also decorated with pieces of silver and comes with the lid. Signed with Jesús Guerrero Santos's monogram, and has "pieza unica, Tonala Jal Mexico, 1995" painted around it.

The Maker
Jesús Guerrero Santos is a Master Artisan who was born in San Martin Hidalgo, Jalisco in 1939. As a young man, Santos studied architecture, philosophy and humanities, but was able to devote himself to studying the history of glazed ceramics. His art is a combination of hand-painted ceramics and metals, such as silver, copper and nickel. A lot of his pieces have been commissioned by the Vatican, including pieces made for Pope John Paul II during his visit to Mexico for the canonization of St. Juan Diego.
