Early 20th Century Barbones masks, or "bearded men" masks, are known for their intricate detailed carvings on the beard, often featuring long beards. Originating from Guerrero, Mexico, these well carved masks were highly sought by tourists for their exceptional craftsmanship and their decorative appeal. This mask also has a chin rest and a string attached on the back for wall hanging. Maker unknown.

Very good condition. Some areas of separation, most notably at the top of the head and a missing piece of a beard curl, see photos.
